WERKPLAATS IMMATERIEEL ERFGOED ('Workspace for Intangible Heritage') is

the hub for living heritage in Flanders - commissioned work

Intangible heritage is of all times: living practices that people have been carrying out and passing on for generations, all over the world.

In 2003, UNESCO launched an international convention to put this heritage on the map.

Think about the ways we play, our storytelling, food traditions, dance and music, circus, carnival, festivities and rituals, as well as agricultural techniques, or the skills of craftspeople who (know how to) make things. And as times change, intangible heritage changes along with it.
